02 / 03 · Game companion tooling

RustBuddy.

I designed and built a connected companion for Rust, keeping raid alerts, smart devices, maps, team intelligence, and defence workflows available across Windows, Android, Discord, and in-game chat.

Connected base / live state RB-02

01 · Problem

Keep players informed when they are away from the game.

A Rust team’s useful state is spread across the base, smart devices, the live map, player activity, and team communication. Important changes can happen while nobody is looking at the desktop client.

I shaped each surface around its job. Windows handles pairing and server management; Android, Discord, and in-game chat keep controls, alerts, and current information within reach.

02 · Product

One product, with four useful points of access.

  1. 01

    Automate repeatable responses

Triggers, conditions, and actions connect smart-device events to alerts and repeatable defence routines the team can understand.

  2. 02

    Read what changed

Team activity, live positions, map events, player tracking, and session history turn separate signals into a readable view of the current state.

  3. 03

    Carry control beyond desktop

Windows provides the full setup surface while Android carries device controls, team status, storage information, and background raid alerts.

03 · Build

Make a changing system legible at a glance.

I used status panels, maps, activity breakdowns, and explicit workflow steps to show what is connected, what changed, and what happens next.

The same status language carries across desktop, mobile, Discord, and chat commands. Each surface exposes the part of the product that belongs there instead of reproducing the full dashboard on every device.
